Boudoir II flashed real ability when second by a head in the 1941 Irish One Thousand Guineas but was never a consistent racehorse, perhaps partly due to a fall she suffered in her first race at 3. Her broodmare career was likewise marked by only one foal possessing brilliant ability, but she has exercised great influence on the Thoroughbred through her daughters.
