Family 14-b
A member of Fappiano’s final crop, Comet Shine added another distinction to his late sire’s record by earning a Sovereign Award at 2. Unfortunately, he was unable to win again after his juvenile season. He was not a success as a sire of racehorses but earned some recognition as a sire of sporthorses. Among his best in the latter métier was Courageous Comet, who followed up a modest racing career by becoming a top eventing horse and earning honors as the 2009 Rood & Riddle Thoroughbred Sport Horse of the Year.
