Cristalline’s race record is deceptive on the surface, for she consistently raced at the highest level against both males and females in her native Chile, earning two championships. As a broodmare, she produced two Chilean champions before being exported to the United States, where she produced a stakes winner of lesser stature. All three of her stakes winners had success as broodmares, and Cristalline also produced several lesser daughters who became important broodmares.

Connections
Cristalline was bred by Haras Trafalgar. She was owned by Stud J. T. L. Jones III. She was trained by Oscar Gonzalez. She was exported to the USA prior to the birth of her 2000 foal, Randlord (by Golden Voyager). In the USA, she was owned by Abbott Properties SA, John T. L. Jones Jr., John Marshall, and the R & B Lewis Trust. The last report of her was as barren in 2008.
Pedigree notes
Cristalline is inbred 5x5 to the important sire Turn-to, winner of the 1953 Garden State Stakes and the 1954 Flamingo Stakes. She is a full sister to Contienda, dam of 2006 Chilean champion 3-year-old filly Crystallize (by Cruise King) and second dam of Chilean Group 2 winner Gitana de Cristal and Chilean Group 3 winner Crystal Ice. She is also a half sister to Wilhelmina (by Wagon Master), dam of two-time Chilean champion Omayad (by The Mighty Tiger).
Cristalline was produced from Calderina, a full sister to 1982 Premio Ismael Rengifo Echeverria (CHI-G3) winner Temuco. The siblings were sired by the French-bred Sir Ivor horse Carral out of Snow Bird, whose sire Snow Crown (by the important Argentine-based sire Snow Cat) won the 1963 Gran Premio Jockey Club in Uruguay and the 1964 Grande Prêmio São Paulo in Brazil; both events were later considered Group 1 races. Snow Bird, in turn, is out of Antona, a daughter of 1958 Jockey Club Stakes winner All Serene (by Alycidon) out of Antonina, by two-time Chilean champion older male Apolo. Antona’s half sister Emperadora (by Eyrefield) is the dam of 1977 El Derby winner Enrique VIII (by Scelto).
