Dancing in Silks came into the Breeders’ Cup Sprint as a long shot as he had never earned black type outside state-bred company. He justified his connections confidence with a nose victory at 25-1 odds in a four-horse blanket finish. His greatest triumph turned out to be his last stakes win and, for that matter, his last victory of any kind although he stayed in training for three more years.
