Storm Cat (USA) x Cadillacing (USA), by Alydar (USA)
Family 1-x
Sired by two-time American champion sire Storm Cat from a Grade 1-winning full sister to champion Easy Goer, Easing Along had every pedigree credential for success that could be desired. He did not live up to his regal bloodlines on the track, but after being sent to Argentina for stallion duty, he proved a very good sire in his adoptive country. He has also had influence in Chile, where he has been a champion broodmare sire.
Race record
6 starts, 2 wins, 0 seconds, 1 third, US$56,390
As an individual
A beautifully molded bay colt, Easing Along had an excellent shoulder and a deep girth but was more elegant in make and less powerful behind with a lighter loin coupling than most of Storm Cat’s progeny.
As a stallion
Easing Along was awarded the Pellegrini Award as Argentina’s “Stallion of the Year” in 2009. According to Jockey Club records, Easing Along sired 560 winners (56.6%) and 54 stakes winners (5.5%) from 989 named foals of racing age.
