A member of a family that Joseph Roebling had developed for generations, Fall Aspen justified the care that had gone into her breeding by becoming a Grade 1 winner at two. Nonetheless, that accomplishment paled beside what she did as a broodmare. The dam of nine stakes winners, four of them Grade/Group 1 winners, Fall Aspen earned Kentucky Broodmare of the Year honors in 1994 and continues to exercise influence on breeding around the world through her descendants.

In 1987, she was sent the Keeneland November mixed sale, this time covered by Shareef Dancer, and sold for US$1.1 million to David Jamison. She made her final trip to the sales at the 1994 Keeneland November mixed sale, fetching $2.4 million while in foal to Danzig; the buyer was John Magnier.
