Cipayo (ARG) x Stall Only (ARG), by Stallwood (ARG)
Family 6-e
Fitzcarraldo won his first three starts, including two Group stakes, but afterward proved to be slightly below the best colts of his generation when tried in Argentina’s Triple Crown races. He was not the best of three-time Argentine champion sire Cipayo’s sons on the racetrack, but he was arguably the best in the breeding shed. While he never topped the Argentine general sire list or broodmare sire list, he ranked 11 times among Argentina’s top 10 sires of winners and was runner-up six times on the broodmare sire list.
Race record
