Gamlingay (GB)

1946 – After Fall 1968

Atout Maitre (FR) x Merry Devon (GB), by Colombo (GB)

Family 19-c

A daughter of 1940 Jockey Club Cup winner Atout Maitre, Gamlingay failed to win in six starts as a juvenile in England, but her fortunes turned when she was exported to Argentina in 1948. A successful broodmare during her own producing career, she founded a notable branch of Bruce Lowe Family 19-c that has produced Grade or Group 1 winners in Argentina, Brazil, South Africa and the United States.
