Ghanaati had only a short racing career but made it worthwhile. An eight-length winner in her only start at 2, the filly made her seasonal debut in the classic One Thousand Guineas (ENG-G1) and stunned the racing world by winning in time that bettered both the existing record for the One Thousand Guineas and the best time ever recorded for its masculine counterpart, the Two Thousand Guineas (ENG-G1). Ghanaati then followed up by winning the Coronation Stakes (ENG-G1) at the Royal Ascot meeting, setting a course record there. She could not quite match those displays in her final two starts, but she became a successful broodmare after her retirement from racing.
