Janelle Monáe did not race as a juvenile but was so impressive in sweeping through the Brazilian Triple Tiara at Rio de Janeiro’s Gávea course in 2020/21 that she was crowned as champion not only of her own sex and age but of all Brazilian racehorses of that year. Unfortunately, she was not able to transfer that form to North America, running fourth in her sole start in the United States. She is now a broodmare in her native Brazil.
