Jules demonstrated that he had some ability when he won his maiden outing by 14 lengths, but he proved to be a sprinter-miler at most and was not up to the top colts in his division. At stud in Florida and Brazil, he proved a very good sire at Haras Santa Maria de Araras but died young. He also got one high-class American runner in Peace Rules, a multiple Grade 1 winner.

Foaled in Kentucky, Jules was bred by Jayeff “B’ Stables and raced for the same after becoming a US$150,000 buyback at the 1995 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga sale. He was trained by Alan Goldberg. He entered stud in Florida in 1998 at Bridlewood Farm and began shuttling to Brazil the same year, standing at Haras Santa Maria de Araras. In 2002, Haras Santa Maria de Araras acquired complete control of Jules and moved him permanently to Brazil. The stallion died of colic in 2003 after contracting laminitis about two months before his death.
