A brilliant filly at 2, La Maltrecha went on to capture the Argentine equivalent to the One Thousand Guineas, the Polla de Potrancas (ARG-G1), as a 3-year-old. After that, her form tailed off, and she registered only one further success. She was a successful broodmare in spite of reproductive woes.
