This American foundation mare had a nice produce record, but it was her "grandfoals" that really made her name. She was the second dam of stallions who won a total of eight sire championships in England, France and the United States. Who was this matriarch, and who were the grandsons who spread her genes far and wide in the Thoroughbred?

Nice try, but no---neither Sadler's Wells nor Fairy King was champion sire in the USA (though Sadler's Wells did top the US broodmare sire list), and Sadler's Wells won more than eight sire championships all by himself. Try again!

Yes! Almahmoud is the granddam of Northern Dancer (4 English sire titles plus one American title per Thoroughbred Times), Halo (2 American sire titles) and Arctic Tern (one French sire title). Good job!
