She was consigned as a weanling to the 1993 Keeneland November mixed sale and sold for US$240,000 to Harold Harrison, who bred her first three foals. She then became the property of Pacelco S.A., which bred Butterfly Cove in partnership with Chelston Ireland Ltd. and the mare’s remaining foals in its own name.
