My Flag was as temperamental a filly as ever put gray in a trainer's hair, but she was also tremendously talented, ranking near the top of her division at both 2 and 3. She failed to show similar form as a 4-year-old but became a successful broodmare after her retirement from racing.

Foaled in Kentucky, My Flag was bred and owned by Ogden Phipps. She was trained by Claude "Shug" McGaughey. She died due to complications of foaling on April 12, 2014; her Bernardini colt survived. My Flag was buried at Claiborne Farm, where she had been boarded during her broodmare career.
