A younger full brother to the champion race mare Pamplona II, Parrot had some ability but was not nearly so talented as his sister. It was as a stallion that he would achieve championship status, leading the Peruvian general sire list three times. Unfortunately, he was unable to get a son able to succeed him as a champion sire although his male line did continue to his grandson Lord Jack, the champion Peruvian 2-year-old male of his year.
