Phoenix Factor came from the same family as champions Flaming Page, Nijinsky II, Minsky, and The Minstrel, but she was nowhere near as talented as any of her illustrious relatives. Nonetheless, she was good enough to be ranked as the best juvenile filly in Canada in 1987. She was not a great success as a broodmare, but three of her daughters produced stakes winners.
