Pedigree notes
Pronto’s pedigree is outcrossed through five generations. He is a half brother to Babada (by Arturo A.), second dam of 1981 Polla de Potrancas (La Plata) (ARG-G1) winner Baroness and third dam of 1991 Copa de Oro (ARG-G1) winner Francisbor, 1990 Gran Premio de Honor (ARG-G1) winner Bab Dancer, and Argentine Group 2 winners Marquise and Law Breaker.
Prosperina, the dam of Pronto, was sired by the English import Gusty (by 1938 Derby Stakes winner Bois Roussel) out of Beoka, by 1934 Sussex Stakes winner Badruddin (by three-time English champion sire Blandford). The next dam in Pronto’s tail-female line, Deyanira, was sired by 1931/1932 Argentine champion 3-year-old male Mineral out of Divertida, by 1922 Cambridgeshire Handicap winner Re-Echo. The female line was imported to Argentina from France via Deyanira’s fourth dam, Reine Blanche, who was exported to Argentina in 1890.
