Fun facts
- While Prudish's sire Peter Pan and maternal granddam Slippers are both out of mares named Cinderella, this is a matter of duplicate names and not inbreeding. Peter Pan's dam is a daughter of Hermit x Mazurka and is from Family 2-o, while Slippers' dam is by Blue Ruin or Tomahawk out of Manna and is from Family 21-a. Both mares were bred in England and were imported to the United States in the late 19th century.
- Through Sourdine's great-granddaughter White Beauty—the first horse officially registered as a white with The Jockey Club—Prudish is the direct ancestress of one of the best-known lines of white Thoroughbreds. The white coloring is due to a mutation of the KIT gene.
