Ogden Phipps was always convinced that Pure Profit would have been a major stakes winner had she stayed sound long enough. As it was, she showed plenty of ability while earning the honorable title of “New York allowance filly.” As a broodmare, she lived up to her name, producing one champion and becoming the granddam of another.
