- Rhine Maiden is one of six fillies to have won the Preakness. The others are Flocarline (1903), Whimsical (1906), Nellie Morse (1924), Rachel Alexandra (2009), and Swiss Skydiver (2020).
- Rhine Maiden's Preakness victory made 1915 the only year in which fillies have won two legs of the American Triple Crown.
- The 1917 Gazelle Handicap saw the only known meeting between filly winners of American Triple Crown races. 1915 Kentucky Derby winner Regret was an easy winner, while Rhine Maiden ran unplaced.
