Imported to the United States, Taba failed to reproduce her Argentine form but redeemed herself as a broodmare by producing Turkoman, the American champion older male of 1986.

Fun facts
- Taba's pasture buddy at Our Mims Retirement Haven was My Turbulent Miss, dam of 1985 Breeders' Cup Turf (USA-G1) winner Prized. The two died within a few months of one another and were buried side by side.
- Our Mims Retirement Haven has been involved with two of Taba's foals as well as with Taba herself. Taba's daughter Taba Dance (by Sovereign Dancer) lived at the facility from September 10, 2009, until her death on February 8, 2014. Our Mims founder Jeanne Mirabito also provided publicity and fundraising support for a campaign to allow Taba's champion son Turkoman to live out his life in familiar surroundings as a pensioner at E. A. Ranches, California.
