As an individual
A bay horse, Tetaze was a Group 1 winner on both dirt and turf.
As a stallion
Tetaze entered stud at Haras La Mission Robles in 2021.
Connections
Bred by Bioart S.A., Tetaze was foaled at Haras Abolengo. He ran his first six races in the silks of Caballeriza Juan Antonio and then passed to the ownership of Caballeriza Egalite de 9 (Marovi S.A., Daniel Mautone, and Eugeni Sangregorio). He was initially trained by Juan F. Saldivia and later by Roberto Pellegatta. He entered stud at Haras La Mission Robles during the Southern Hemisphere breeding season in 2021.
Pedigree notes
Tetaze is inbred 3x5 to two-time French champion Blushing Groom and 5x5x5 to the great international sire Northern Dancer. His dam, Delirada, is a winning full sister to 2021 Argentine champion 3-year-old filly and Mare of the Year Didia and to Davide, a listed stakes winner in Singapore.
Delirada and her siblings, in turn, are out of Delambre, a Group 1-placed winner in her native Brazil. Sired by 1992 Prix de Fontainebleau (FR-G3) winner Rainbow Corner (by Rainbow Quest), Delambre is out of Group 2-placed winner Diya, whose sire Ariosto (by Good Manners) won the 1981 Gran Premio Santiago Luro (ARG-G1).
The next dam in Tetaze’s tail-female line is Sevilla, a winning daughter of the stakes-winning Caro horse Ringaro. Produced from Searching (by 1975 Manhattan Handicap, USA-G2, winner Salt Marsh, by Tom Rolfe), Sevilla is a half sister to Seattle (by Southern Halo), dam of two-time Brazilian champion sprinter Pitu da Guanabara (by Ringaro) and second dam of multiple Brazilian Group 2 winner Agasias.
