The Punisher did not race long in his native Argentina, making just six starts there, but he was impressive enough in the 2022 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini (ARG-G1)—historically Argentina’s top race for horses 3 and older—that he earned a Pellegrini Award as Argentina’s champion stayer. A few months later, he was exported to Hong Kong, where he was gelded and continued racing under the name “Bravehearts.” He was not nearly as successful a runner after his export as he had been at home and is now retired from racing.
