A winner of Canada’s oldest Classic, the venerable King’s Plate (or Queen’s Plate, according to the sex of the reigning British monarch), Uttermost was the best Canadian colt of his crop at 2 and was close to the top at 3, his feats including a sweep of the three races that since 1959 have been linked as Canada’s Triple Crown. His form fell off markedly after his 3-year-old season, and he does not appear to have stood at stud in North America.
