Bettie Sue was considered a nice juvenile, but her form tailed off at 3 to the point that she was a rank outsider for the Kentucky Oaks. She ran the best race of her sophomore season in the Oaks, leading from gate to wire, but faced only three rivals. She failed to win again in 1911. She was a winner in selling-race company at age 4 and 5 before retiring to the paddocks, where she was not a success.

She is also a half sister to Otsiketa (by Ornus), dam of multiple stakes winners Sagamook (by Charles Edward).
