Recommended Links
The links listed below are some of my favorites for Thoroughbred racing and breeding from around the Web. Enjoy!
Bloodlines.net is a portal to a group of related websites about Thoroughbred racing and breeding. The sites included offer much hard-to-find information on horses in early pedigrees as well as information on Canadian and Central/Eastern European racing and breeding.
ElTurf.com is a Spanish-language digital resource for current events in South American horse racing and includes access to results and replays of recent races for most of North and South America. Site registration is necessary for access to some features but is free.
Equineline.com offers a wealth of racing and breeding reports. Most must be purchased, but the site includes a free five-generation pedigree lookup that includes basic sire and sire/broodmare sire cross statistics, breeder information, and the date, place of birth, and most recent sales information for the animal being researched.
The Blood-Horse regularly posts news articles on racing, breeding and significant events in the North American Thoroughbred industry with some international coverage as well. It also has leading sire charts in a number of categories since 2001 and videos of North American racing from across the continent. The site would be worth visiting for its on-line Stallion Register alone, which has listings on over 2,700 stallions currently at stud.
The Canadian Horse Racing Hall of Fame has articles on many of the equine and human greats of Canadian racing.
The Jockey Club maintains an on-line Fact Book which contains much useful statistical information on North American Thoroughbred breeding, racing, and sales.
The National Horseracing Museum is an English site with archives covering many of the equine and human heroes of English and Irish racing.

The Paulick Report is one of the best sources for up-to-the-minute news about the Thoroughbred industry in North America.
The Vault is the blog of Abigail Anderson and covers a wide range of racing history. Ms. Anderson also has a rare knack for coming up with truly wonderful photographs to go with her carefully researched stories.
Thoroughbred Heritage has a marvelous wealth of resources for the student of racing history and Thoroughbred breeding. Developed by Patricia Erigero, Anne Peters and Liz Martiniak, the site has hundreds of articles on notable Thoroughbreds going all the way back to the origins of the breed as well as leading sire lists for many countries, lists of winners of some of the world's most important races, articles about some of the great breeders of the past and plenty of other material of interest.
Thoroughbred Racing Commentary is an excellent source for commentary and opinion on current news in the international Thoroughbred industry. It also hosts a wonderful history resource in Tony Morris's "100 Shapers of the Breed" column.
