Continue was a consistent and speedy race mare in spite of never having earned black type during her racing career. Crossed repeatedly to staying sires, she proved an excellent broodmare for Claiborne Farm, continuing a family that culminated in 1984 American champion 3-year-old male Swale and the notable racer and sire Forty Niner.
