Florimore improved from racing in selling company as a juvenile to becoming a Kentucky Oaks winner at 3, but her accomplishments were tainted by suspicion that she had been allowed to beat a superior stablemate for betting purposes. After dropping down into increasingly cheap company, she produced her first foal at age 8 but was returned to racing and did not leave the track for good until the following year. She was not a successful broodmare.

Fun facts
- Florimore was a stablemate of Wary, the beaten favorite in the Ashland Oaks and Kentucky Oaks, and the Louisville Courier-Journal drily noted in its coverage of both races that Wary could probably have won easily. Owner T. H. Stevens had financial incentive to win with Florimore in both races if he could, as her betting odds were substantially higher than Wary's, and the Courier-Journal also noted that had Wary won, she would have lost weight allowances in several later engagements.
