When Claiborne Farm privately purchased 1966 American champion 2-year-old filly Regal Gleam from the Bieber-Jacobs Stable in 1969, she was carrying a foal by Round Table. That foal, Foreseer, made the deal worthwhile all by herself. While she was nowhere near the standout that either her sire or her dam had been on the track, she proved an excellent broodmare.
