Goofed was not the most consistent of race mares, but on her day, she was a good stayer. The equivalent of a modern Grade 1 winner, she was an even better broodmare than race mare, producing two Grade/Group 1 winners (one of them a top-class stallion) and breeding on through her daughters.

Connections
Foaled in Kentucky, Goofed was bred and owned by John M. Schiff. She was trained by O. T. Dubassoff. As a broodmare, Goofed produced her first three foals as the property of Mrs. J. O. Burgwin. After that, she was owned by Nelson Bunker Hunt. She slipped twins in 1982, was barren in 1982, and died that year.
Pedigree notes

Barra II is also a half sister to Roxelane (by Foxhunter), dam of the fine stayer Le Loup Garou (by Prince Bio; winner of the 1958 Criterium de Saint-Cloud and 1960 Prix du Cadran) and three other stakes winners. The next dam in Goofed’s tail-female line, La Favorite, is by 1926 Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe winner Biribi out of La Pompadour, by the good French stakes winner and sire La Farina.
