Mr. Prospector (USA) x Sacahuista (USA), by Raja Baba (USA)
Family 9-f
A regally bred son of the great sire Mr. Prospector and 1987 champion 3-year-old filly Sacahuista, Hussonet never quite succeeded in living up to the promise implied by his bloodlines and was exported to Chile at the end of his racing days. There, he made a great reputation for himself, leading the Chilean general sire list seven consecutive times. He was not quite as successful following transfer to Australia but got some good horses while there, headed by 2008 Australian and South African Horse of the Year Weekend Hussler.
Race record

A handsome, well-balanced chestnut horse, Hussonet was somewhat coarse but was powerful and muscular and had a strong masculine presence. He was heavy-topped.

According to records kept by The Jockey Club, Hussonet sired 914 winners (61.2%) and 100 stakes winners (6.7%) from 1496 named foals as of January 17, 2020.
