Pedigree notes
Sired by the stakes-placed Nasrullah horse Tillman, Pulines is inbred 3x5 to 1920 American Horse of the Year and 1926 American champion sire Man o’ War. He is a full brother to Pulposa, dam of 1989 Gran Premio Enrique Acebal (ARG-G1) winner Pulpa (by New Dandy) and second dam of three-time Ecuadorean champion Mr. Push. Pulines is also a half brother to the stakes-winning filly Pulina (by Francis U.), dam of 1990 Argentine champion 2-year-old filly Pulma (by New Dandy) and third dam of 2014 Gran Premio Gilberto Lerena (ARG-G1) winner Malacostumbrada and Argentine Group 2 winner Puliao.
Pulines and his siblings are out of Pulidez, who was sired by 1953 Jockey Club Gold Cup winner Level Lea. Pulidez, in turn was produced from Pulgada, whose sire Jungle King won the 1954 Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini. A half sister to Premio General San Martin winner Rumbo (by Rustic), who was also a stakes winner in California, Pulgada is out of Segovia, a daughter of 1950 Argentine champion sire Sind. The female line traces back to the English import Ante Diem, a great South American foundation mare.
