A muscular, compact horse with great finishing speed, Saritamer was one of the best juveniles in Ireland at 2 and the best sprinter in England at 3, albeit in a sprint division that was considered rather weak. He was a much better racehorse than sire and ended his days in Saudi Arabia, but he left behind one very good horse in Time Charter, the winner of the 1982 Oaks Stakes (ENG-G1) and the English champion older female of 1983. He is also the broodmare sire of Filia Ardross, a Classic winner and champion in Germany.
