Untidy's record of four wins from 23 starts doesn't look impressive on the surface, but she might have won more often had she stayed within her own division instead of repeatedly knocking heads with the best males of her age. While she failed to win against the colts, she placed consistently against the best, including defeats by just a head in the Saranac Handicap and Manhattan Handicap. She was a consensus choice as the best American 3-year-old filly of 1923. She was a fairly successful broodmare as well.
