A plain, lengthy, strongly made bay horse with good bone, Agnes Gold had the sickle hocks characteristic of Sunday Silence’s progeny. He had a good shoulder and strong hindquarters with good muscling well down into the gaskins.

Agnes Gold was awarded the Mossoró Trophy as Brazil’s “Stallion of the Year” for the 2020/21 through 2023/24 seasons. As of August 11, 2024, The Jockey Club credits Agnes Gold with 394 winners (71.1%) and 74 stakes winners (13.4%) from 554 named foals of racing age.

Bred by Shadai Farm, Agnes Gold was sold for ¥84,000,000 as a weanling at the 1998 JHRA Select Sale. He was owned by Takao Watanabe through his racing career. As a stallion, he passed to the ownership of Truya Yoshida. He entered stud in Japan in 2004 at Shadai Stallion Station and later moved to Lex Stud. In 2007, he transferred to Lambholm South near Reddick, Florida, and stood there through the 2009 Northern Hemisphere season. He was then sold to a partnership of Brazilian breeders and was exported to Brazil, where he stood for the rest of his life. His last crop of foals was registered in Brazil in 2020.
