Bred on the same sire/broodmare sire cross as 1944 American Horse of the Year Twilight Tear, Bull Page had significant conformation issues but achieved parallel honors in Canada, where he was Horse of the Year in 1951. He was probably the most influential son of Bull Lea at stud, siring Canadian Triple Crown winner New Providence (an influential sire in his own right) and four winners of the Canadian Oaks. He is also the broodmare sire of the great Nijinsky II, the champion English/Irish general sire of 1986 and a two-time American champion broodmare sire.
