Fun facts
  • The Chaldeans or Chaldees were an ancient people of the Middle East who existed independently for over 300 years before being absorbed into the Neo-Babylonian Empire in the mid-6th century B.C.E. They spoke a Semitic language, Chaldee.
  • Chaldee is one of just three broodmares to produce as many as five Grade/Group 1 winners. The others are New Zealand-based Eight Carat, a three-time Broodmare of the Year in that country, and Juddmonte foundation mare Hasili, the 2006 English Broodmare of the Year.
