Family 5-e
A late-maturing horse, Equalize got better each year he raced but was never quite of championship class. As a turf runner as well as a slow developer, he had little to recommend him to the American stallion market in spite of his status as a Grade 1 winner and the scion of a family that had produced several Classic winners in Ireland. He was far better appreciated in Argentina, where he was an important sire and broodmare sire.
