Luv Me Luv Me Not was a hard-knocking filly whose overall form was more in line with her plebeian background than with Classic ability. She did place in graded races after her one big score in the Kentucky Oaks (USA-G1), but she never again touched the heights as a racer, nor was she a success as a broodmare in a brief producing career.

Pedigree notes
Sired by 1976 Queens County Handicap (USA-G3) winner It's Freezing (who led the 1991 American general sire list by number of winners), Luv Me Luv Me Not is inbred 5x5 to 1936 Derby Stakes winner and 1946 American champion sire Mahmoud and 5x5 to two-time English champion sire Nearco, who was unbeaten on the race course. She is a half sister to Screening Room (by Storm Cat), dam of multiple Grade 2 winner Baptize (by Dynaformer).
Luv Me Luv Me Not is out of the unraced Bold Reason mare Reason With Me, who in turn was produced from the winning Pia Star mare Pia Road. Fun facts
- Turfway Park ran a “Luv Me Luv Me Not” race specifically for female jockeys in 2001 and 2002.
- Judy Maas (nèe Boyer) got into horse racing as a result of a bet with her husband Philip, who had told her that she could have a racehorse when Minnesota opened a horse track. When Canterbury Downs (later Canterbury Park) opened in 1985, Philip Maas made good on his pledge. The couple raced horses together in name, but Philip freely acknowledged that Judy was the "horse person" and he was just "along for the ride."
