While Magazine had talent, she was not a very sound filly. She won four of her five starts at 3 but had to leave the racing wars at midseason following her score in the Coaching Club American Oaks (USA-G1). At 4, she was unable to win in eight starts, though she placed four times. As a broodmare, she produced a Group 3 winner and several broodmares of some significance.

After she slipper her 1982 foal, she was sold privately to Moyglare Stud Farm. In 1983, she was sold through the Keeneland November mixed sale for US$230,000 and produced her last two foals as the property of Peter Harris.
