Put It Back was bred for speed and had plenty of it, going unbeaten as a 3-year-old in the sprint ranks until injury put an end to his racing career. A success as a regional sire in Florida, he was still more successful in Brazil, leading the general sire list there twice, and is becoming an important broodmare sire in that country.

As an individual
A dark bay or brown horse, Put It Back was powerful and muscular with a good shoulder and good overall balance. He was somewhat base-narrow in front and appeared slightly short-legged for his height.
As a stallion

He was awarded the Mossoró Trophy as “Stallion of the Year” in Brazil in 2012/13 through 2014/15.
