While not as brilliant as her half brother Jaipur, Rare Treat inherited much of her sire's hardiness, making 101 starts at ages 2 through 7. She also inherited a fair measure of his talent, collecting five stakes wins along the way. Even more important, she was able to pass her ability along and has several important producers among her daughters.

She is the dam of Group II winner Be My Guest (by Northern Dancer), who led the English/Irish general sire list in 1982. She is the second dam of 1978 Ladies Handicap (USA-I) winner Ida Delia, Italian Group II winners Vers La Caisse and High Competence, and Grade II winner Nikishka.
