More precocious than her sire, Smart Deb shared the title of 1962 American champion 2-year-old filly with Affectionately. Like Affectionately, she also trained on well, although unlike Affectionately, she never returned to championship level. As a broodmare, her main contributions were through her son Logical, a four-time champion sire in Argentina, and her daughter Honey Deb, who produced five stakes winners and is the second and third dam of Grade 1 winners.
