A full sister to Glamour, So Chic was not as good a race mare but still fell into the category of “New York allowance filly,” making her worth retaining in the Phipps broodmare band. She was a good broodmare on her own account, but her daughter Fashion Verdict proved to be the key in extending the family to future generations. So Chic's female descendants have done particularly well when bred back to stallions with Glamour in their ancestry.

- Memsie (1959, by Tulyar) produced Belgian stakes winner Gerabher (by Herbager) and is the third dam of Puerto Rican champion 3-year-old male El Platino.
- Fashion Verdict (1960, by Court Martial) won the 1962 Adirondack Stakes and ran second in five other stakes races at 2 and 3. She is the dam of stakes winners Plastic Surgeon (by Dr. Fager), Reasonable Choice (by Hail to Reason), and Sartorialy Perfect (by Gallant Romeo) but more importantly is the dam of The Garden Club (by Herbager), dam of Grade 2 winner Up the Flagpole (by Hoist the Flag), multiple Grade 3 winner Nostalgia (by Silent Screen), and stakes winner Blushing Cathy (by Blushing Groom). Through Up the Flagpole, Fashion Verdict is the ancestress of 2003 Kentucky Broodmare of the Year Prospectors Delite (a multiple Grade 1 winner), 2003 American Horse of the Year Mineshaft, and Grade/Group 1 winners Flagbird, Runup the Colors, Tomisue's Delight, and Mr. Sidney.
