One of the best fillies of her crop, the beautifully bred Prospectors Delite lived up to both her racing performance and her pedigree as a broodmare. She lived to produce only five named foals, but their collective record was enough to earn her Kentucky Broodmare of the Year honors in 2003.

Foaled in Kentucky, Prospectors Delite was bred and owned by William Farish III who raced the filly in partnership with W. Temple Webber and James Elkins. She was trained by Neil Howard. She died of complications of laminitis four months after producing a Storm Cat colt in 2001; the colt lived only three weeks.

- Delta Music (1995, by Dixieland Band) won the 1999 Straight Deal Breeders, Cup Handicap, a listed stakes, and was Grade 3-placed.
