Champs Elysees was bred and owned by Khalid Abdullah's Juddmonte Farms. He was trained by André Fabre in Europe and by Bobby Frankel in North America. He entered stud in 2010 at Banstead Manor Stud, Newmarket, England. He was purchased by Coolmore in late 2016 and moved to Castlehyde Stud in Ireland, where he died of an apparent heart attack in December 2018.
