Generally reckoned the best American 2-year-old filly of her year, Court Dress won five stakes races as a juvenile. She trained on to win the important Gazelle Stakes at 3, placed in two other major stakes events, and was considered the co-champion of her crop that year as well. She was a successful broodmare, producing two stakes winners, but had her greatest influence through her unraced daughter Inaugural, an excellent producer and the ancestress of champions Rock of Gibraltar, Whiskaway, Pavot, and Charismatic as well as several important sires.
