Essentially a miler, Eliza was the best of a better than average crop of fillies at 2 but lost her edge at 3 as the distances stretched out. She was a better racer than she was a producer but is the second dam of Grade/Group 1 winners Dialed In and Foxplay and the female-line ancestress of two-time American champion sprinter Elite Power.

Foaled in Kentucky, Eliza was bred and owned by Allen Paulson. She was trained by Alex Hassinger Jr. and was ridden to her Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies win by Pat Valenzuela. Her first four foals were bred by Madeline Paulson, Allen Paulson’s widow. In 1999, Eliza was sold to Pacelco S.A. for $1.7 million, in foal to A.P. Indy, through the Keeneland November mixed sale. By 2002, Eliza had passed to the hands of Strategy Bloodstock. She was sent to Ireland in 2006. Her last foal, a Fastnet Rock colt named More Rock Less Net, was registered in 2012.
