The best staying sophomore filly of 2000, Jostle assumed leadership of her division after consecutive wins in the Coaching Club American Oaks (USA-G1) and Alabama Stakes (USA-G1) but saw a title slip away when Surfside excelled in the fall. Her campaigns at 4 and 5 were disappointing, and her broodmare career reflected more her rather modest pedigree rather than her own high-class form at 2 and 3.

As an individual
A bay mare; Jostle was big and gawky as a juvenile and did not come to hand until late in her 2-year-old season.
As a producer
Jostle produced 12 named foals, of which 10 have started and eight have won. Her important foals are as follow:
Connections:
Foaled in Kentucky, Jostle was bred by Prestonwood Farm. She was owned by Rick Porter’s Fox Hill Farms and was trained by John Servis. She was ridden to her Coaching Club American Oaks win by Mike Smith. In a long odyssey as a broodmare, she produced her first foal for WinStar Farm, her second for Racehorse Management, her third for Never Tell Farm, and her fourth through seventh for Stonewall Farm Stallions. She was then sold for US$40,000 at the 2010 Keeneland November mixed sale and produced foals in 2011 and 2012 for B. P. Walden Jr., Dr. K. K. Jayaraman, and Dr. V. Devi Jayaraman and for Ben Walden alone in 2013. She then went back to the sale ring, selling for US$50,000 at the 2014 Keeneland November mixed sale, and produced her last two foals for Lansdowne Thoroughbreds.
Pedigree notes:
Jostle is inbred 4x5 to two-time American champion sire and eight-time champion broodmare sire Princequilllo and 5x4 to the important sire Turn-to. She is a half sister to Run to the Moon (by Arch), dam of Australian Group 3 winner Odyssey Moon (by Snitzel).
Jostle is out of stakes-placed Moon Drone, a half sister to stakes winner Foolin Spruce (by Big Spruce). Their dam Cute Little Moon (by Ack Ack) was stakes-placed but won only two of 50 starts. She is out of Sun Reality (by In Reality), making her a half sister to stakes-placed Really Dear (by Caro), third dam of Grade 3 winner Toews on Ice. Sun Reality, in turn, was stakes-placed and is a half sister to 1969 Washington Park Handicap winner Night Invader (by Misty Flight), Grade 3 winner Chairman O’Th’Board (by Diplomat Way), and stakes winners Gadget Man (by Decathlon) and Fabulous Prospect (by Mr. Prospector).
